Factories for making Motoman industrial robots are located in Japan (three), in China and soon in Europe as well. In 1990, Yaskawa was actually the first in the world to use its own robots to manufacture other robots. The first robot factory now manufactures smaller types of Motoman industrial robot for arc welding and handling, such as the MOTOMAN-MH12 for example.
