In order to meet the increased demand in Sweden and Europe of our encapsulated and movable robot welding cells, ArcWorld, we have recently implemented a Takt Time assembly strategy.
Now we have the opportunity to define and set time for work at each station and identify time chores. It will also be easier to handle customer customization to meet our customers’ needs.
For the team that assembles ArcWorld, the new line means a greater focus on the work of the actual assembly as the flow of ingoing and outgoing material is handled by the logistics department.
The manufacturing rate will be two ArcWorld robotic welding stations per week to begin with. The first ArcWorld rolled out from the new production line in late October. In total, we have delivered more than 100 ArcWorld from the factory in Torsås since the robot station was launched in 2014.
