Important improvements with ArcWorld at Polet.

At the tool manufacturer Polet in Belgium , the production area is increasingly blue. With the help of the ArcWorld welding station and a painting robot from Yaskawa, important improvements in both efficiency and productivity have been achieved.

Thinking ahead

Polet – De Pypere is a manufacturer of tools for gardening, construction and industrial use. The company was founded in 1865 and has grown into an industrial company that constantly invests for the future.

Polet uses an ArcWorld CS with the welding robot MOTOMAN-MA1440 and positioner V2-500 with two stations. ArcWorld is used for welding several smaller parts with short welds.

– The concept of the ArcWorld appealed to me. The operator no longer has to run around, and loading and looting fixtures is now much less labor-intensive, says Stefaan Denolf, technical director of Polet.

 Compact and affordable

– The cell is compact with a cable bundle which goes through the robot arm. It enables the robot to move very quickly without its cables getting in the way, explains Stefaan as another important feature with the ArcWorld cell. The price was also very competitive, he adds.

RoboFlex , a partner of Yaskawa, has built in Fronius CMT power source and hose package. They also provided a number of training days for the staff followed by a course day with Yaskawa . Fifty different products are currently being welded in ArcWorld.
